Office of Reentry and Transition Services: The Office of Reentry and Transition Services (ORTS) was founded in 2006 in order to help offenders after they are released from the prison during and after the period of supervision by community. ORTS assists all stakeholders in improving procedures, creating new programs and delivering training for staff.

It was established and maintained by Christian residents. Barnabas house’s mission is to help released inmates be able to control their bad habits and addictions, which prevents them from being a good part of the community.
Coastal Horizons Center, Inc.: The Coastal Horizons Center, Inc has a wide variety of professional services to support people with criminal records. The services include crisis intervention, sexual assault victims, criminal justice alternatives and treatment of drug use and mental health disorders. These help people stay physically, emotionally and socially strong.
Center for Effective Public Policy (CEPP): The Center for Effective Public Policy (CEPP) supports criminal justice and other policymakers and practitioners to have better solutions through a wide variety of services. CEPP is a nonprofit organization which was established in 1981 with its headquarters in Silver Spring and Maryland. People working for CEPP are all professionals with strong backgrounds in criminal justice, training, human services research, agency administration and policy improvement.
Exodus Homes: The Exodus Homes is a United Way agency which operates on a condition of trust. It provides transitional and permanent shelters for homeless with the past of compulsive addiction to alcohol and illegal substance and ex-offenders released from the prison. Exodus Homes is well-known for its continuum of services that meet people’s needs in terms of physical, emotional and spiritual demands.
LINC, Inc.: Leading into new Communities (LINC, Inc) is a not-for-profit organization offering transitional housing and services customized to meet each case. Its targets are people with criminal records. In addition to the services mentioned above, LINC also provides services with the aim of developing youth, especially African Americans ages from 16 to 24.
Community Success Initiative: The Community Success Initiative was established in May, 2004 as a non-profit corporation for the purposes of assisting people to lead a productive and healthy life after their dark days in the prison. It concentrates on helping people get out of the criminal marsh in which they used to be stuck and, to a certain extent, contributes to making crime less happen. The NC Second Chance Alliance influences policies in the way that enables formerly incarcerated people to lead a productive and healthy life.
North Carolina Handbook for Family and Friends of Inmates: The North Carolina Handbook for Family and Friends of Inmates provides you with comprehensive information on the Department of Correction and all issues related to a better life of currently incarcerated men and women. The handbook hopes to give them an overview of basic rules and regulations in a prison in North Carolina from the first time one steps into the cell to the day one is released.
Religious Coalition for a Nonviolent Durham (RCND): The Religious Coalition for a Nonviolent Durham (RCND) is known as a non-for-profit organization whose members are passionate people with a burning desire to eradicate the violent harassment in Durham areas. It was founded in 1992 and incorporated in 2004. It is based on inclusiveness to exist and operate well.
