South Dakota Department of Corrections: The South Dakota Department of Corrections takes responsibility for the management of the state adult prison system, the state adult parole system and the state juvenile corrections system. Its mission is to provide safe and secure facilities and effective supervision for juvenile and adult offenders in order to protect the community. Teen Challenge of the Dakotas: Accredited through Teen Challenge International USA, Teen Challenge of the Dakotas is created in order to evangelize people who have life-controlling problems and to initiate the discipleship process to the point where the student can function as a Christian in society. Teen Challenge has earned a reputation as one of America’s most successful rehabilitation programs with more than 50 years of history in helping drug and criminal offenders.
Dakota Plains Legal Services: With the offices located on or near Indian reservations in South Dakota and North Dakota, Dakota Plains Legal Services is established with the aim of improving the lives of our low-income clients through quality legal assistance and promoting equal access to justice by providing legal representation, advocacy, conflict resolution, and community education options to meet the legal needs of its Native American and non-Native clients and community.
Fatherhood & Families: The Fatherhood & Families is program of LSS( Strengthening Individuals, Families and Communities) designed for fathers under 25 who are going to be released from incarceration to re-engage with their families, reintegrate into the society and find a good job. To do that, all fathers have to participate in Work Training Program, job readiness training and job seeking assistance of this program.
Center of Hope: The Center of Hope is a religious organization with the mission of “reaching out with God’s love and grace to people who have difficult life issues”. It offers various programs to do that mission including Bike-to-Work program, Bible Studies, Fellowship Meal, Mother Baby Baskets, Hope Worship Hour and more. The Center of Hope has been ministering to people who struggle with difficult life issues since July 2000 and now it becomes a place where people can come, be listened to, encouraged, and refreshed.
